Are you creating more problems than you solve?

Keep It Simple, Stupid. Leaders are problem solvers, but sometimes we're also problem creators by making things more complex than necessary. As a leader, you don't need to have all the answers. In fact, it's often better when you don't. Trust those around you to solve problems. This not only simplifies your life but also helps develop the next generation of leaders by giving them opportunities to tackle challenges and hone their leadership skills.

Where can you simplify? Take a few minutes to identify two areas in your life where "less will be more."

Is there a secret to success?

Is there anything more important than having a positive attitude and intentionally practicing the mindset of gratitude? In a quick Google search of the terms "leadership and attitude," you will come up with millions of results (go ahead and try it). This seems to be a well-researched topic, but why is it important? There are many talented people, but when it comes to those individuals who consistently experience long-term success within any team, organization, or company, it is always the group of people who successfully combined their talent with a great attitude. Who do you want on your team?

Make a commitment to creating a "gratitude group." Start each day by sending a simple gratitude to this group (we recommend a text message). You will be amazed how this changes your mindset each morning.
